Are you a dedicated and creative chef ready for your next culinary adventure? Lanternen Brasserie & Bar, a lively casual dining restaurant by the waterfront in Oslo, is looking for two full-time chefs to join our kitchen team starting this May 2025.

As a full-time chef at Lanternen, you’ll be at the heart of a bustling kitchen that thrives on quality, speed, and flavor. We’re looking for chefs who are not only technically skilled, but also team-oriented and passionate about delivering a great dining experience.

• Culinary Passion & Skill – You love working with fresh ingredients and are committed to serving delicious, well-presented dishes every time.
• Professional Kitchen Experience – You’ve worked in a professional kitchen before and are comfortable with fast-paced service, prep work, and multitasking under pressure.
• Organizational Excellence -You know how to keep your station clean, your timing tight, and your workflow smooth—even when it gets hectic.
• Creative Input – You’re open to contributing ideas for seasonal specials, new menu items, and kitchen improvements.
• Team Spirit – You communicate clearly, support your colleagues, and bring a positive energy to the kitchen every shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Lanternen’s standards
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene
• Manage prep work and mise en place efficiently
• Work under pressure during busy service times
• Collaborate with the kitchen team on seasonal menus and dish development
• Monitor portion control, consistency, and food presentation
• Uphold a respectful and supportive team culture

Lanternen Brasserie & Bar. Lanternen is also situated seaside in Bygdøy. An absolute pearl covering the dock to the Bygdøy Ferry with an incredible view of the city. Lanternen is a freshly acquired property for the company and will be throughly refurnished during the winter and spring, catering to both tourists passing through and neighbors throughout the summer. The goal is to create a destination suitable for lazy sunday lunches, date nights, family dinners though the week, birthdays and weddings, baptisms and company parties.
